At Cold River Anglers we pride ourselves on our expertise, professionalism and passion for fly fishing. There are multiple ways to explore what the San Juan has to offer and we strive to deliver an unforgettable and unique San Juan River experience.

Guthrie Farr, guide and owner of Cold River Anglers was hooked on fly fishing the moment his Dad first put a fly rod in his hand and made him practice by casting at targets in the backyard of his hometown in the middle of the Adirondack Mountains of NY. Guthrie eventually made his way to Colorado where he spent nearly a decade honing his skills on rivers and streams throughout the state including the Roaring Fork, Colorado, Frying Pan, and Animas. This was also when he first experienced the abundance and quality of the San Juan’s world class trout waters, leading to a desire to share his passion with others through guiding.
